Microsoft Office 2010
I spent the last 8 or so hours trying to install Microsoft Office 2010 on Windows 8 Pro. Didn't happen. I called iYogi tech support who tryed to help me for the last 3 hours with no success. We finally concluded Office 2010 is not compatible with Windows 8. So, I could upgrade to Office 2013 for ONLY $400.00 or install OpenOffice for free. Well, let me see now, which do you think I did???

Internet explorer keeps opening pages and refreshing itself on its own
I am about at my wits end with this laptop. For no apparent reason and nothing setting it off, Internet explorer, as well as other browsers in the past keep opening themselves up, refresing and eventually rendering it unusable. I have ran Malwarebytes, Mcaffee antivirus, all sorts of other programs and they have all found nothing. I have reformatted and reimaged windows 7 at least three times now and it still does it. I just reimaged yesterday and still having the problem. I downloaded Hijackthis and saved a log and here it is...PLEASE HELP ME!! Thank You!!

My laptop screen turned black but laptop in Windows 8. ( HP ENVY TouchSmart
After I downloaded "http://skinpacks.com/download/windows-7/8-skin-pack/" then i rebooted my laptop. Then the laptop screen turned black but the cursor is movable and I can run 'ctrl + alt + delete'. When I run CONTROL PANEL it says "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. Unable to take Backup
Respected Sir,
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bits but when I try to take backup following error message was displayed:
The backup application could not start due to an internal error:
The service cannot be started,either because it is disabled or because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.(0x80070422).
Block Level Backup Engine Service also be not running when I try to run this service manually following error message was displayed :
Windows could not start the Block Level Backup Engine Service service on Local Computer.
Error 0x800700b7: Cannot create a file when that file already exits.
I already reinstall the operating system, run under safe mode and clean boot by using msconfig, run scf/scannow under command prompt but the problem not solved.Provide me solution for this.

unable to connect share drive
I already installed windows 7 copy to a system and try to connect the share drive windows 2003 server. All other computer can connect share drive but this is first time it refuse to authenticate.
I try to connect share drive with domain/username + password as same way I connected other pcs but without error it fails to connect.

lost password / cannot get passed windows blue screen
I have an IBM Thinkpad t43. when booting i get to the windows blue screen that says "To begin click you user name". There are no usernames to click....nothing. when I hit control/alt/delete the sign in window pops up with administrator in the username and wants a password....
This has never happened..laptop alway booted righ up to my desktop. I do not know any password. I tried safemode but i end up on the same screen.
Can anyone help

Panda Gloval Security 2013 (Cloud)
I got malware from something that I thought was Adobe Flash. It was not-I deleted it from control panel. I still had sweetpacks a toolbar that would not go away. It was not in my control panel. I had one dialogue box and I contacted Panda, they did four remotes on my computer. Each time they did a remote on my computer--I got more dialgue boxes. It got so bad that I had to use ctrl, alt, del,to get out of my internet and that to shut down my computer. I had to finally do a restoration on my computer because of the following dialogue boxes: Pcloudcleaner (Access violation at address 718B6632, 71536632, 70C96632, 70DB6632 in moculs "MSVCR90.dll". Read of address A4EA131, A4EA6035, A4EA4349, A4EA224D, 539BAB01, 8BEEA4BC, 00000004. I got this from using their new antivirus Cloud cleaner.

creating partitions while installing windows 2008 r2 server
I'm installing the windows 2008 r2 server OS (on a pc, as an experiment, before doing the real thing on our server). I need to have three partitions: C (35gb) - where the OS will be, E and F (each with half of the remaining space). When I get to the relevant point in the installation, I get a screen that shows me two lines :
line 1: Name - disk 0 partition 1, 74.5 GB, free space: 66GB, system.
line 2: Name - disk 0 unallocated space, 9 MB, free space: 9 MB.
When clicking line 1, I get the options to refresh, load drivers, delete, extend, format. If I choose delete or format, I get a warning saying that I might delete system files from the manufacturer. Should I choose any of these options (in order to change the partitioning)?
(When clicking line 2, I can refresh, load driver and New.)
So how do I do it? Which option should I choose?

how to share my windows 8 laptop's internet through a cable
Hi all,
First of all, if you have the instructions to do it in any other OS that is not windows 8, just save your self the time.
I used to share the internet from my windows 7 laptop via an ethernet cable. Now I got a windows 8 computer and it doesn't work like that. I went to my internet connection/properties/sharing but when I plug the desktop to the cable (windows xp, though I also tried sharing to a windows 7 desktop) the machine doesn't receive anything.
Note that I'm looking for an answer to this, I am not considering buying a USB wifi adapter for the other machine. If you don't have anything valuable to contribute, keep it to your self.

How do I block network access for a program
I have a Uniden wireless security system installed. The system consists of two wireless cameras and a small, handheld receiver with an LCD screen. The receiver has a USB connector to allow it to connect to my laptop. Software runs on the laptop which allows me to monitor the cameras and record the video from the receiver. The cameras communicate wirelessly only to the receiver, not to my computer.
Here's the odd thing - there is constant outgoing network activity associated with the executable, Uniden Surveillance System.exe. I cannot disable the wireless interface on my laptop as that is necessary to communicate with my router/hub. I got into the Windows 7 firewall settings and created a rule to block network access for the Uniden exe but the resource meter continues to show two outgoing connections running at around 67 bytes/sec each. One connection is to 239.255.255.250 and the other to 255.255.255.255.
Can anyone enlighten me as to how I can block this?

Pc Powers Off with flashing blue light
TOday we have had an issue where twice our computer has powered off with a blue flashing light. if you hold the power button in the pc doesn't turn off unless you disconnect the power supply. When you reconnect the power supply we can then use the machine as normal then about 20 minutes later the same thing happens. Any ideas?

Problem with VMWare Full Screen
I have currently switched from Virtual Box To VMWare for Operating system emulation. It's quite awesome and fast as compared to virtual box.
This is first of few problems that I am facing so far.
In Virtual Box there was an Option as 'Guest Addition' through which additional features were downloaded and installed, which allowed full screen.I am talking about occupying complete screen rather than just central part of screen by guest OS.
Is there any similar feature available in VMWare to enable full screen mode ?
The default Full Screen Mode Provides only maximizing VMWare Screen. Whereas I wish for maximizing OS screen.

Laptop resource issue
We have a Toshiba laptop; just installed 4 gigs of RAM. Youtube video are breaking up a bit. It's a 2.01 processor. I checked and 2.8 gigs are available. Could that be just purely overhead? I was thinking when I put the RAM in it would make all the difference. When there was 2 gigs in the machine the breakup was a little worse. Any ideas?
